Covid-safe Protocols
All participants, presenters and members of the coordination team will be required to follow COVID-19 protocols for the personal safety of all attending the convention.
Physical distancing regulations will be catered for in the setup of workshops and other convention functions and masks and disinfectants will be readily available.
Wear a mask
-
Clean your hands before you put your mask on, as well as before and after you take it off, and after you touch it at any time.
-
Make sure it covers both your nose, mouth and chin.
-
All participants will be provided with a mask for each day of attendance.
Keep 6 feet away
-
Maintain at least a 2-metres distance between yourself and others to reduce your risk of infection when they cough, sneeze or speak. Maintain an even greater distance between yourself and others when indoors. The further away, the better.

Covid-safety in convention setup
-
All participants will be provided with two masks and a small bottle of personal hand sanitizer.
-
All rooms will have entrance quotas - once that number of people has entered, no-one else will be permitted until someone leaves
-
All rooms will be set up with seats that are safely distanced from each other. Participants will not be permitted to move seats without prior permission.
-
Where seats cannot indicate physical distancing, markers will be present on the floor or ground to indicate where people should stand when waiting or queuing for food or facilities.
-
All rooms will be equipped with sanitizer and rubbish bins. Please make use of both.
-
Participants are discouraged from sharing items with others: pens, sanitizer, plates etc. Where possible, only touch your own belongings and do not touch those of others.
-
All rooms will be cleaned between sessions with a thorough cleaning occurring overnight. All food utensils will be cleaned carefully between uses.
-
If meeting with a group of people, arrange to meet outdoors in an area with good air circulation.
-
If you are feeling unwell, please notify a member of the team IMMEDIATELY and where possible STAY HOME.
Wash your hands often
-
To prevent the spread of germs during the COVID-19 pandemic, you should also wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer.
-
Each participant will be provided with their own small personal bottle of sanitizer.
Cover coughs and sneezes
-
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, or your upper sleeve or elbow, when you cough or sneeze. Throw used tissues immediately in a lined wastebasket, then wash your hands using soap and water or an alcohol-based sanitizer.
Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces
-
COVID-19 can spread in poorly ventilated and/or crowded indoor settings. You can protect yourself by avoiding or limiting time spent in crowded places.
